Note: These Terms of Service govern the relationship between Rebel Dezignz and clients who engage our interior design services. By signing a project contract with us, you agree to these terms. We recommend reviewing these with your legal advisor before signing any engagement contract. The specific payment milestones, scope, and timelines for your project will be detailed in your individual project agreement, which supersedes these general terms where there is any conflict.
1. About Us
Rebel Dezignz is an interior design and execution firm founded by Bhavna Gangani, operating from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Contact: rebeldesigns25@gmail.com | +91 913 765 6067.
2. Services
Rebel Dezignz provides turnkey interior design and execution services for residential properties, including but not limited to:
- Full home interior design and execution
- Modular kitchen design and installation
- Bedroom, living room, and bathroom design
- Civil work, carpentry, electrical, and finishing
- Remote / NRI project management
The specific scope of services for your project will be documented in your individual project agreement ("Project Contract").
3. Consultation and Engagement
3.1 Free Consultation
Initial consultations (in-person or virtual) are provided free of charge and carry no obligation. A consultation is not a contract and does not obligate either party.
3.2 Project Engagement
A formal engagement begins only when a signed Project Contract and the initial advance payment (as specified in the Project Contract) have been received by Rebel Dezignz.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Payment Structure
Payments are structured in milestones as specified in your Project Contract. A standard project typically follows a milestone-based payment schedule agreed upon before project commencement. All quotes are provided in Indian Rupees (INR).
4.2 Payment Timelines
Milestone payments are due within 7 working days of the milestone being reached and invoiced. Delays in milestone payments may result in corresponding delays to the project timeline, for which Rebel Dezignz will not be held responsible.
4.3 Scope Changes
Any changes to the agreed project scope requested by the client after contract signing will be assessed and quoted separately as a "Change Order." Change orders must be approved in writing by the client before execution. Additional costs arising from approved change orders are payable at the next milestone.
4.4 Late Payment
In the event of non-payment beyond 21 days of the due date, Rebel Dezignz reserves the right to suspend work on the project until outstanding payments are received. Rebel Dezignz will not be liable for any project delays resulting from payment suspension.
5. Project Timelines
Rebel Dezignz endeavours to deliver all projects on the timeline agreed in the Project Contract. However, timelines may be affected by:
- Delays in client approvals or payments
- Changes in project scope requested by the client
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.)
- Material supply chain disruptions beyond our reasonable control
- Delays caused by building management, society approvals, or third-party agencies not contracted by Rebel Dezignz
In such cases, Rebel Dezignz will promptly notify the client and provide a revised timeline.
6. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:
- Provide timely access to the property for work and inspections
- Respond to design and material approval requests within 5 working days
- Ensure necessary building society / management approvals are obtained
- Ensure the property is free from any encumbrances or disputes that would prevent work
- Make milestone payments in accordance with the Project Contract
- Designate a single point of contact for the project
7. Design Ownership and Intellectual Property
All design concepts, 3D renders, drawings, and documentation created by Rebel Dezignz remain the intellectual property of Rebel Dezignz until full and final payment has been received for the project. Upon full payment, the client receives a non-exclusive licence to use the delivered designs for their own residential use. Rebel Dezignz retains the right to photograph completed projects and use images for portfolio, marketing, and press purposes, unless the client explicitly requests confidentiality in writing before project commencement.
8. Warranty
8.1 Execution Warranty
Rebel Dezignz provides a 5-year warranty on all carpentry and civil workmanship from the date of handover. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials supplied and installed by Rebel Dezignz. It does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidents by the client or third parties
- Natural wear and tear
- Damage caused by water seepage from structural sources outside our scope
- Third-party products or appliances supplied by the client
Warranty claims must be submitted in writing to rebeldesigns25@gmail.com with photographs of the issue.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rebel Dezignz's total liability to the client for any claim arising out of or in connection with a project shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for that project. Rebel Dezignz will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
10. Cancellation Policy
Important: Cancellation terms are project-specific and will be detailed in your Project Contract. The following are general guidelines only.
If a client cancels a project after signing the Project Contract:
- Before design commencement: The advance payment (less any out-of-pocket expenses incurred) may be refunded at Rebel Dezignz's discretion
- After design is completed but before execution begins: Design fees are non-refundable; advance payment towards execution may be partially refunded less expenses incurred
- After execution has commenced: Payments made for completed work stages are non-refundable; costs of materials already ordered or installed are non-refundable
11. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation within 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, and governed by the laws of India.
12. Amendments
Rebel Dezignz reserves the right to update these Terms of Service. The current version will always be available at rebeldezignz.in/terms. Project Contracts already signed will be governed by the terms in force at the time of signing.
